The NIS2 Directive (Network and Information Security) focuses on improving cybersecurity and the continuity of networks and information systems within the EU. This directive strengthens digital resilience and applies to specific sectors, possibly including your company. In the Netherlands, the directive will be implemented through the Cybersecurity Act, which further specifies cybersecurity requirements and regulations for enforcement. The legislation is expected to come into force in the second or third quarter of 2025.
What is Rangko Venhuizen, our COO, opinion on this development?“Rovecom has conducted a quick scan to determine if NIS2 applies to us. The result: we fall under the category of ‘critical entity’. Thanks to our ISO27001 certification, we already meet the requirements. Therefore, NIS2 brings few changes for us, but it does emphasize the importance of a robust security and continuity policy.”What could NIS2 mean for you?Check whether your security measures meet the NIS2 requirements and prepare your organization in advance for any necessary adjustments.Security within the Supply ChainNIS2 looks at the entire chain.
